I’m just looking for something small scale because I’ll only be doing it for about 5 months.
I dont have a car but I’m hoping this wont pose much of a problem.
How should I get started? I know I need to have some form of insurance and work out the taxes.
Should I print some business cards/flyers and perhaps design a website to attract customers?
Whats the market like for this type of work? How much do dog walkers usually charge?

I’m a newbie tax preparer and eventually would love to work for myself..starting small scale..and building a solid small business over a decade or so. My main goal is to work for myself. I don’t want to be paid $8/hr and make another tax business hundreds per hour. Im only doing it for the experience. Question is..how long were most of you tax preparers before branching out on your own? How did you do it? How much schooling did you have? What was your previous experience? Do you recommend it? Was it enough time to become experienced enough to work on your own?
